For the 2008-2009 program year, the First Unitarian Society has taken as its focus the theme of Earth Matters. We are working to become formally accredited as a Green Sanctuary, and we will continue to explore ideas and practices that can help us to achieve environmental health and justice. We want both our personal lives and our life together as a congregation to move our world toward a responsible human presence in a thriving ecosystem. We hope for our children to experience an earth of beauty, diversity, and abundance, and to care for their home as global citizens.
