An Opportunity for Funding from The FUS Foundation Unrestricted Fund


The FUS Foundation awards grants from the Unrestricted Fund to support novel ideas and projects that will forward the mission of The First Unitarian Society.

Recent awards totaling over $11,000 have been given to support improved sound amplification and recording capability in the Upper Assembly Hall, enhancement for air-handling system controls in the Upper Assembly Hall, redecoration of the Groveland Terrace entrance signage, support of the Unity Summer Program and lighting upgrades for the Lower Assembly Hall.

If you have an exciting idea for a project, the FUS Foundation Board encourages you to submit a grant proposal. All proposals for projects that foster new growth and development at FUS will be considered.

The Foundation is now accepting proposals for the 2007 grant cycle.

The submission deadline is December 1, 2007.

Proposals should include:
  1. A description of the project, including comments on the relevance of the project to the mission of FUS
  2. Estimated costs, including two to three written estimates for materials and expenses
  3. An estimated date the funds will be needed
  4. An estimated date for completion of the project or program
Submit your application to the FUS Office, addressed to the FUS Foundation, Attention: Curt Dederich, Treasurer, Foundation of FUS c/o First Unitarian Society.

All applications will be reviewed by the Unrestricted Fund committee. Final decisions will be made by the full Foundation Board.
