The Hendrickson Hopp Religious Education Fund

The Hendrickson Hopp Religious Education Fund arose out of the generosity of Paul and Vienna Hendrickson (1976) and Emerson Hopp (1984 & 1991). Earnings from the Fund are used to enrich the children and youth religious education program at FUS – beyond the annual RE operation budget.

Funds have been used for many special events, art and music programs, aiding youth in social action activities, for equipment that enhances the program, as well as the installation of the safety windows in RE classrooms to meet the recommendations of the Safe Congregations Committee.

The Religious Education Committee works with RE Director Jan Devor; their requests are submitted for approval to the FUS Board of Trustees. Jan says that Hendrickson Hopp funds have made a crucial difference in the RE program.
