*FUS Leaders: Input on Room Use Still Needed
Chairs of groups and activities for FUS should fill out a Room Use survey if they did not already do so at Novermber's leadership retreat. Pick one up in the office and return it ASAP


*Speak Science after the Service
Take advantage of an opportunity to sit down with your coffee and cookie after the service. Join others at the "Science Spoken here" table to discuss current topics in science.


*Volunteer Opportunity: Thursdays in the Office
Spend all or part of your Thursday volunteering in the FUS office. Pick your own shift (e.g. 9 to Noon, 10 to 2, 1 to 4, etc.). Contact Diana at 612-377-6608 x104 or Diana Allen


*Flower Sponsors Needed
Assembly flowers needed for January 4th and 11th. You may provide flowers for greeters tables too. Pick up a form in the office to learn more about how to participate.


*Memorial Service for Maury Muench
The memorial service for Maury Muench will be held at FUS next Saturday, Dec. 27 at 2:00 at 2:00.


*Memorial Service for Gisela Konopka
Long-time friend of FUS and professor emeritus of social work Gisela Konopka will be honored with a memorial service on January 9 at 10 a.m. at the UofM McNamara Alumni Center, 200 Oak St. SE in Minneapolis. Memorial donations may be directed to the Konopka Institute, c/o Minnesota Medical Foundation, PO Box 64001, St. Paul, MN 55134.


*Members Welcome New Baby!
On Friday, Rachel Brown and Lewis Anderson welcomed a new baby boy, William Benjamin Anderson. He weighed in at 8 pounds 2 ounces and a length of 20 inches. Mother, father and child are doing great!


*Collection Center Open outside Lower Assembly Hall
We welcome any time your contributions of clothing and food for Sabathani Center, birthday stuff for local food shelfs and household items for Lydia's Closet. Leave your items in the Collection Center bins outside the Lower Assembly Hall and please leave the cabinets open where the bins are located.


*Donate Cell Phones to Support Religious Education
Drop your old cell phones and batteries (no attachments, please) in the box in the office. These will be recycled for money to benefit our outstanding Religious Education program.


*Fair Trade Holiday Shopping at Resource Center for the Americas
Find new items and old favorites, including books, holiday items and hand made goods by artisans who benefit directly from your purchases. It's not just shopping, its just shopping!
