First Unitarian Society

SUPPORT GROUPS

Various support groups exist within the Society so that we can share one another's experiences and lend a comforting shoulder in times of need.

Men's Awareness Group

The Men's Awareness group gives men a place to discuss their hopes, frustrations and feelings about being male in our society. Group experiences may include the discussion of readings or topical events, watching a film, or giving support to a member in need. Some members have attended for many years but new participants are always welcome. Membership is casual, and meetings are on Mondays at FUS in the Heritage Room from 7:30 p.m. to 9 p.m.

Women's Awareness Group

The group has been meeting for several years, having grown out of an Adult Education class, "Women in Religion." We read and discuss books and articles, share life stories, and support one another. We meet on the second Monday of each month at a member's home. Meetings include a potluck, conversation and a varied program. All FUS women are cordially invited. CONTACT: Mibs Pearson
